# Resetting your password

> How to get back into Visualcare with an administrator password reset

If you've forgotten your password, an administrator at your organisation can send you a password reset link. There is no reset password button on the login page — the reset link from your administrator is the only way to reset a password.

## Administrator password reset

If a user has forgotten their password or is locked out, an administrator resets it for them:

1. Go to **Users** in vCore
2. Find and select the user account
3. Use the **Reset Password** option to send the user a password reset link

The user receives the link by email and follows it to set a new password.

<Note>
  The password reset link is valid for **20 minutes**. If it expires before the user sets a new password, the administrator can send a new one. If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check the spam or junk folder.
</Note>

## SSO users

If your organisation uses Microsoft Single Sign-On (SSO), password resets are handled through your Microsoft account, not Visualcare. Your Microsoft credentials are what Visualcare uses to authenticate you when SSO is active.
