The SIRS register gives you a centralised view of all Serious Incident Response Scheme incidents across your organisation. Use it to track incident status, monitor response timelines, and prepare reports for the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

Accessing the register

Navigate to OperationsIncidents and select the SIRS tab. The register displays all SIRS incidents in a table, with key details visible at a glance. You can also view SIRS incidents from individual client profiles under the Incidents tab, but the register under Operations is the best place for organisation-wide tracking.

Customising the view

Column chooser

Use the Column Chooser to add or remove columns from the register. Drag columns into or out of the table to tailor the view to your needs. Common columns to add include response dates, assigned users, and reporting status.

Filtering and searching

Filter the register to find specific records:
  • Date range to narrow results to a specific period
  • Status to view open, in-progress, or closed incidents
  • Category to filter by incident type
  • Assigned user to see incidents assigned to a particular person
Use the Search function to find incidents by keyword across all visible columns.
Set up your preferred columns and filters once, and they persist for your user account. This saves time when you return to the register regularly.

Tracking reporting obligations

The register helps you stay on top of NDIS Commission reporting deadlines. Review the register regularly to identify:
  • SIRS incidents that haven’t been reported yet
  • Incidents approaching their reporting deadline
  • Open investigations that need follow-up
NDIS providers must notify the NDIS Commission within 24 hours for the most serious reportable incidents and provide a detailed report within five business days. Check the register daily to avoid missing a deadline.

Exporting the register

To download the register for external reporting or record-keeping, use the export function on the register page. The export includes all currently visible columns and respects any active filters.
